Heirloom is for preserving the real stories of real people who have given their informed, voluntary consent. Any use that violates consent, impersonates, defrauds, harasses, or exploits is grounds for immediate account termination.
You may use Heirloom to
- Record and preserve your own life story.
- Record a family member who has given informed consent.
- Generate AI transcripts, translations, memoirs, and voice likenesses of consenting subjects.
- Share memoirs privately with invited family members.
- Purchase printed books and gifts for personal use.
You may not use Heirloom to
- Record anyone without their informed consent.
- Clone the voice or likeness of a public figure, celebrity, or any person you do not have consent from.
- Impersonate another person for any purpose, including fraud, harassment, or deception.
- Generate deepfakes, political misinformation, or synthetic media intended to mislead.
- Record children (under 13) without parental/guardian consent on their behalf.
- Upload content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, violent, sexually explicit, or that infringes copyrights.
- Use the platform to stalk, surveil, or coerce a family member.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract the training/operation of our AI systems.
- Resell Heirloom services without a signed reseller agreement.
Special rules for voice cloning
- The subject must personally consent on-device or via recorded verbal consent.
- Voice models generated remain linked to the consenting subject's account and can be revoked by them.
- Voice models of deceased subjects can only be invoked by the account holder who captured them and cannot be transferred without the estate's written approval.
Enforcement
- Violations may result in content removal, feature suspension, or full account termination without refund.
- We cooperate with law enforcement on valid legal process.
- We will notify affected users when we remove content, unless prohibited by law.
Reporting abuse
Report suspected misuse to abuse@theheirloom.ai. We respond within 48 hours.
